Buses and Trains Stoke Newington is very well served by buses and the overground. There are numerous day and night bus routes direct from Stoke Newington into central London, including: 73 to Oxford Street, 243 to Old Street and Waterloo, 149 to Liverpool Street and London Bridge. There are two overground branches, one from Stoke Newington Station which takes 12 minutes to London Liverpool Street and the other from Dalston Kingsland which goes via Highbury and Islington to Camden Town and, finally, Richmond.
Underground The new East London Line has recently opened making travelling around London easier. There are also frequent buses to nearby Angel, Islington (Northern Line), Manor House (Piccadilly Line) Finsbury Park (Picadilly Line) and Highbury and Islington (Victoria Line).
Cycle routes There are pleasant designated cycle routes to Islington and the City.
