Home Information Packs are no longer required for properties for sale in England and Wales.  However, Energy Performance Certificates are still compulsory, these provide information on how energy efficent a property is.

Where can an Energy Performance Certificate be obtained
You can order an EPC through http://www.londonhipassessments.com/ or easier2move . 

They can tell you how much the pack will cost, how you can pay for it and order it on your behalf, making it quick and easy to get your property on the market.  Terms are available for the sum to be paid on completion or within one year. Check their website for further details.

How long will it take for me to get an Energy Performance Certificate?
Approximately a five working day turnaround time subject to getting access to a property.

What is an Energy Performance Certificate?
An Energy Performance Certificate will rate the property according to its energy efficiency on a scale or A to G, similar to the ratings you see on white goods such as washing machines and fridge freezers. 

This will need to be carried out be a qualified Domestic Energy Assess or a Home Inspector and should take between 45 minutes and an hour and a half depending on the size of the property.

How will I know when my Home Information Pack will be ready?
They will provide the seller with a username and password to track the process of the Home Information Pack online.

Can I organise a solicitor to act on my sale at the same time?
By organising a solicitor upfront it allows the necessary paperwork to be prepared for when a buyer is found.
